An example of where I had to put on several different hats for this production. First the composer to conjure up the concept, improviser to record the lead parts, sound design engineer to write the synthesiser code from scratch in Max, production work to put it all together and liaise with my collaborator in Canada for the electric violin part. Then graphic video artist to create the dynamic fractals as part of the music video. Oh and story teller for the narrative.

Narrative:
An imagined journey across our Milky Way galaxy from planet Earth to a planet new to our interplanetary travellers. Hibernation for millennia, nomadic near the end of their journey, a constant beacon guides their way. Each movement of the piece represents a different part of their journey.

Other lands journey, an interplanetary travel, passing by other civilisations. A distant call is heard, the homing beacon, guiding the travellers to their new destination. Occasionally hints of the new world are heard.

Civilisation and city found.

The assimilation and metamorphosis.
The end of the interstellar journey from Earth to their new home on a foreign planet orbiting a distant star. It was a one- way journey and generational at that, with descendants being those who made the first contact. Learning to co-exist with the indigenous peoples of their new home, a different planet, a different culture. Eventually becoming one with them because they would not be returning home.
Would there ever be a return to planet Earth?
Even if it were possible, those who may decide to return to Earth, would be millennia of generations removed from their pioneers, they would be culturally distinct or even most certainly, biologically distinct.

Guys how can I replicate that effect on the screech at min 2.35 or 2.44.
in current hardtechno it is often used in small breaks to create Fx but they don’t seem like samples to me, it seems more like a plugin that activates on the synth and creates this distortion.
An older one this one but been getting some good feedback on it lately and feel it could spark some ideas for you. ????
