Some lots deserve a closer look in person. Here are three eye-catching pieces entered in this Saturday’s live GSM Auctions sale:

1. Turquoise Chinese-style porcelain teapot with wicker handle
A striking decorative piece with floral decoration, geometric borders and character medallions.
👉 At viewing: check the porcelain around the spout and handle mounts, inspect the lid/cover closely, and look over the painted decoration and base.

2. Yellow-ground decorated porcelain teapot
An attractive traditional-form teapot with long curved spout, floral motifs and character medallions—a very displayable piece.
👉 At viewing: check the spout and handle for damage or restoration, make sure the lid sits correctly, and inspect the decoration and underside.

3. Cobalt-blue art glass pedestal bowl
A bold piece of decorative glass with a sweeping applied stem/handle and circular foot. One that really catches the light.
👉 At viewing: examine the rim and foot for chips, inspect the applied glass joins, and look through the bowl for scratches, wear or manufacturing features.
