I’ve seen a few newer people ask for tips in here and thought I’d put my 2 cents in on getting better basslines in your projects. I’ve been using Ableton for over 10 years on hundreds of client projects and I love how easy it is to get things to sit right.

When I was learning to mix, I found my low end to be a frequent problem: it would be a bit muddy, messy and undefined. Crap basically. Over time and countless YouTube videos later, I got to a place where I was getting better at them, and these are my top ways to make your basslines a little more pro sounding.

You need to practice these though, so maybe try each tip one at a time so you understand how it works, and then move to another to explore it.
