I like taking old news

I like taking old news clips off of YouTube to putting them in my hip-hop songs. These old sound clips tend to be very weak and thin in the mix. What are some simple things I can do to the audio clips to give them more body and weight and have them sit nice in the mix and still have pop to them. I am using Live 10 and I have been producing for over one year. Thank you in advance for all your help!
